everything is extra. dvd player, hard drive, extra tuner. proper question to ask is what do you need. if you want to buy an expensive box would the vu duo not do. half the price, dual hd sat tuner and then you add your hard disk and whatever else. why would you want to outlay such huge money for a box that really is not any better than vu. so pay 800 for the 8000, pay 400 for vu duo (authentic) pay 200 for vu duo clone?????

simple, put usb with image on it into box, turn off, turn on and not much else
