Hi All,Sorry to be a pain, but i was wondering if anyone out there is using kryptview a780 and virgin broadband at the same time and is it safe too do so. thanks kingp
lots are yes but regards safe well........... you can be read here>>>>> LINK <<<<< dont mind the hostility between certain people, he he lol
i know alot people on here different opions on the kryptview a780, i was just wondering what would be best, stick with virgin internet or get another provider ?
is this true mickah and e45 i just a bit worried about getting caught, have you to got krpytview a780 and virgin internet
you can go krypt and any broadband provider as mick said there is lots of people using it and no problems so far
have to admit i don't tend to agree with the advice given. maybe it is true that individual users have yet to be identified. but look at this realistically. the pattern of internet usage for kryptview, sv6 and dreambox are so obvious as compared to normal internet usage. in normal usage you are downloading web pages, music, films, software etc.. The trends are easy to figure. With a receiver constantly requesting ecms from a public share all day long (short data bursts every 5 or 6 seconds) the pattern is just about as obvious as you can get. so it would a rather interesting choice to use virgin internet to steal virgin television. i wish you luck
yes you can use that then you will be not seen to be honest im sure virgin are happy to have got rid of all them chipped boxes and people having to take out a sub so i would just plod along as all the rest are doing
having dealt with the legislative side of ip networks i can say that there is no legislation that states that operators must share privileged information with other operators. from one country to the next there is a requirements to maintain data records for a period of time (this varies from country to country) and is usually at least five years. my simple advice, find another internet operator
At the present time i have not heard of one person using any of these boxes or sat boxes having any isp problems or any isp even cutting them off or anything so until i hear or see it else where i would not worry about what is connect to what provider
Now is chorus and ntl calling all the people with suspecius internet activaties so i know a person that is 100 % info, he got the call and less then one hour there they where on his place to replace the router ( check out ) but lucky him he disconecte evrything after the call. So if you want to have problems get chorus/ntl broadband and you get a call in your door. Why? startview and kryptview are connecting to a server with always the same ip and same poort, they just log now the traffic to those ip and go to the custumers. so be warn when using kryptview or startview they know that you have the box ( these is only for chorus / ntl broadband but they can ask also for differents providers to pass the info)
when this happen? As the SV has been out of action a good while in Ireland and Kryptview never worked here in the first place, why would they need to replace his router as thats not gonna stop him connecting, secondly a different provider wont provide any info to them as this against the law, why ya think the music companies are trying to get IP companies to disclose user info to them with regard to music downloads and the IP companies are saying no, they are going to court at present over this, so the chances of eircom giving packet data / user usage data to UPC is nil to nothing, you could actually sue them for breach of contract and privacy infringement yer way off the mark on that one. Lastly, all they have to do is block or throttle access to a server, same way Eircom blocked Pirate Bay, there is a way around that also
well for some1 to go and actually say get 1 would not be right the choice must be yours but "if" you do decide to get a box get the extra security aswell
I'm sure many people are waiting around to see what happens with these kryptview and starview cable receivers. I am for sure. I can't believe how expensive vir* are on there tv channels. e.g. Liverpool tv is free on sky, but to get it on Vir* I gotta buy the xl tv package at £23 + £25 for L size Broadband. Then £20 for Sky sports and then £10 -£20 if you get asian channels. Whats that £60- £70. Where as sky offer all this for £50. So Like I said I'll wait around, may be get a sub on sky sports and then change.
