There is on going maintainance work at the present time on the Krypview servers so they will be down just for a short while disrubition will be kept to a min so please bear with the people involved

Thanks wondered why it was cutting in and out as much,and why I could not get some channels.

 

right its back working, updates done

 

still channels missing, Espn and all the +1 channels tried scanning the box and the box + router have been off for over an hour whilst i was out

 

ffs the channels have been off twice in 8mts and people are complaining should have bought a starview then your would know what its like to be off more than on

 

e45, on the basis of this can i assume you are in control of this payserver. seems u know uptime and downtime for a server that is lost in congoland. good to at least know who is advising us on this forum. so now all members know who they are dealing with. sorry with my negative comments in the past but finally i understand your business model. mickah, sg8, piopat, i no longer accept any negative forum against this idiot. you know what he is, a prat full stop.

 

fintanni are you jelous that i know what is going on ?? obvliviously you are by the way you talk maybe people should ask you to let them join your card server you have for sky that way you will get the chance to tell them when routine maintainence or downtime is am i stealing your limelight ahhhhh shucks.

and if you bother to look around the forums you will see the information is alread available but of course your head is so far up your ar** you would not know that

who is this fintannl guy? and how did he become a senior member? I joined in 2005 and still I'm a junior. The amount of slagging he does is out of this world, does he not have any useful comments to make other than slag off e45. lay off him, he's more helpful than you've had hot dinners.

e45, i actually refrained from adding my own input last night as i couldnt be arsed with the petty arguments that go on on this forum, as ive expressed in the past, i like to know the ins and outs, i express my view and i am open for discussion if its civilised.

last night i was thinking.. e45 must be part of this, he is promoting it too death, and then comes up trumps as soon as the server goes down (so be it, your probably just reporting what anyone else would) - although... you seem to slate the starview and beleive that kryptview is untouchable (to a certain extent of course)

as i previously said, im not here to argue.. but to express, and i know where fintannl is coming from.. he is like me, likes to have his input, but you and fintannl seem to have taken it to an extreme were you's dont actaully discuss things you's just argue (lol?- if its even lolable??)

you know yourself e45, ive PM'd you etc and you seem ok, but you are the one people target (myself included) when such things happen, surely you expect this from the role your playing on this website promoting it and slating other boxes? (hope this is a valid point?)

ps. im in no shape or form against kryptview or starview. im just here for the ride like everyone else!

 

Hi Still have issues & I am not receiving ATR & RUK, the racing channels. Left box on all night and rescanned but no resolution. Any ideas?

 

correct i totally agree with you but i belive when you sell a product it should do what it says on the tin i was an avid starview follower all down the years up until they started off with the starview 1 box great box starview 2TheBox another fab box from the starview team then there was the super what a let down then it went on and on and every time the brought out a new box the support for the other boxes where dropped after that i lost faith with starview.

Then krypt came along ok there first box they had was crap looked like and old video recorder from the 70s but hay it worked and also scanned when freq changed something new so i tried it and liked it so i swapped sides so to speak ever since that i have been a krypt fan.

So if the krypt was not doing what it said on the tin i would not be a supporter of their either and would move on to the next box what you have to understand there ie krypt starview dream etc teams that look after all the boxes read all these forums and the only way to get them to do anything if they see the support from customers is falling off they will get of there arses and fix the problem.

i belive krypt have the better team at the present time and there box does what it says on the tin so they have my support now when you buy something you want it to work no buts and ands it either does work or its shit people are spending money and some people are spending money as well that just cant afford it either on a piece of kit that they wnat to work and by this i mean not on and off like a pair of nickers so i tell people what is good and what i think is shit and at the present time stsrview is shit and until there team get up of there arses and fix the problems i will contunue to beat them with a brush no matter what anyone on here thinks.

People are entitled to know what is good and what is bad after all money is tight all over.

i know this will prob get a lot of stick but so be it end of rant.

 

Here is my take on it,

The info about the server updates was on other sites also, so this was out there and folk knew about it and was spoken about before it hit here, so that must mean he is floggin em? no it doesnt he reported it about the same time I seen the info myself,

Sv v Krypt - The starview service is rubbish, I know it, the dogs on the road know it, look at the way they left irish users in a sling and not even a peep on the next step, except to flog another box the Sv7, the server has been up and down like a yo-yo compared to the Krypt, the Krypt guys have supported old boxs (A750) and provided a fairly solid service thus far, when people ask which is better..... what do you think the answer will be on that..... I have slated the Sv6, does it mean I am in cahoots with Krypt? nope, I am giving my honest opinion based on what I have seen so far

Regarding the ongoing fighting, this is stemming from Fints issue with E45 putting folk at risk from using a box like the Krypt which connects to a server and its been going on for the last few months and I as said in a previous post, opinions are what its all about and valuble, but its turned into a pissing contest now, with accusations flying all over the place, which folk have a pain reading, people are adults and if they decide what to go for, cable CS, sat CS etc etc, thats their business and people make their own minds up,

Now I aint taking sides, but thats they way I see it

 

Still work been done at the present time hopefully it will be sorted all the premium channels are all working inc the espn and music and the + so not to worry just keep an eye here and i will keep you updated as things progress

 

Just my 2p worth.

If the Starview server had been down for maintenance, there would have been many posts slagging it off.

I know Kryptview have been given credit for supporting their "old" box the A750, actually it was the current box at the time, they failed to support their current HD box the DW800 leaving customers in the lurch. At least Starview supported their current HD box on the server even if they have not got the new HD channels on the server.

Clearly the Starviews are better featured boxes than the Kryptview despite what e45 may say. Many of the reported Starview Server issues are nothing to do with the server but instead a weak signal or internet problem as has been proven with some people reporting problems and others reporting no problems at the same time and others reporting less problems when they fixed their cables & Connections.

I am not saying the Starview server is 100%, it isn't. Neither is the Kryptview server or any other server. There are many issues that can cause glitching or freezing, it's not always a server issue.

Now e45 will start flaming and arguing again, just like when anyone disagrees with him.

Nope lincsat i wont m8 at least krypt have let people know what is going on unlike starview i think people should be kept in the loop and not in the dark are their customers not intitled to this information then there would be less problems do you not think

 

To all on this forum who only appear when there are problems.

These guys whether working in cahoots or not spend a majority of time on this forum answering all manner of STUPID IGNORANT questions over and again.

I for 1 am greatful and if this was my forum and the idiots didnt stop asking the same questions without reading previous posts first i would ban them.

I have watched this topic for the last 6 months or more and the amount of times i have saw the same questions answered in a fair and polite manner by the same members is unreal.
