I have heard that there is a desktop software as well as a new firmware / bin file needed to update the satellite. Can anyone please let me know where I can download the desktop software for the coolsat 5000? Thanks

Really need a fix for Coolsat 5000. Having withdrawals. Does anyone have any idea of when a fix will be out? Are any receivers
working, model, or are all down at this time?

My god....read......but if you really need to know....its the Satellites in the air......you pointto them to recieve channels. And the fix for pansat is done...should be released in a day or 2.

@KEGNFOOL, where did you get the info on the Pansat fix? What forum site? I belong to Blacklist's site and the last time I could get on there was no information on the fix yet.

I managed to get into both my main sites today. Sorry to say there is no information on a pending fix at this time. We just have to wait it out.

@ jerry.....here is the thing...Where Blacklist gets his files is from where I heard. Black list basically does it the easy way...lets the other coders do the work then buys the fix. There is a fix....its done...now all they have to do is get the source codes for each unit. Pansats are close...I miss understood what i was told about the realsease of the pansats....but there is one and almost done... as well as the Coolsat! so sit tight...it is jsut around the corner! ;-) I'll keep you informed...and hope you do the same for me. have a good day!

Sorry to disagree with you but BL is one of the best coders out there. Most take his file and re-write it for other equipment. The only other coders worth anything is Norwest from Viewsat. Just my opinion on that. The only reason the Pansat bin was late last time was because BL was out of the country. The day he got back the file was release that night. If you notice most other FTA forums are working but Future-FTA is locked down because thats where everyone goes for the fix. Anyway its still a waiting game until a fix shows up somwhere.

Agreed.....he is good. No doubt there! :-) Yeah it will get here when it gets here. Im patient. :-) So...which sites are you a member of? Didn't mean to fire anyone up . hahaha...I was jsut posting from the info i am given. I tell ya though...if you read on other forums...wow...the rumors.and BS. No problem here. Everyone has their own opinion I will never hold that against anyone for having a different view of something than I do. Yes, its going to be a mess when the files do get released. I expect every site out there to lock up at first. Its going to be fun trying to get the files you need. I belong to BL's forum Future-FTA and the sister site Al7bar. Those are the 2 I use the most but I belong to 6 more just to keep up with different information. I don't post much on any of them because you find too many smart mouth know it alls that think they know everything but don't know anything. I'm a Senior member on Future-FTA since thats the one I hang on the most. Hang tight and hopefully we will be watching the birds again soon.

Yeah I know the sites will be locked up. I'll hopefully have mine before its released like I did the last one ( 1.23) I beleive its coming out this week. But again....its all hear say. :-) I've learned to just sit back and wait.. But at times it sorta gives ya hope. hahahaha lol Well take care Jerry!

For the Coolsat boxes I suggest you join Al7bar site at the link I give below. Then read all the GETTING STARTED and NEWBIE sections on the Coolsat boxes. Everything you need will be there except the latest fix we all are waiting on.

you know guys, the bad thing is, the peopel that do the complaining about a fix and all that are the ones that actually lock the damn sites up in the first palce with all their useless BS!! how long does it take for people to realize the fix will be put out WHEN IT'S READY, and not until. one glance at any forum will tell you that 10,000 posts of "i really need a fix" wont make the fix come here any sooner, but instead clog up the place so nobody gets the fix!! geez i hate people.
