Sky sports 1 pixilating and unwatchable

Hi, wandering if anyone with a A780 have been experiencing SS1 pixilating all the time for the past 2-3 weeks. Any feedback would be greatly appericiated as have tried all the things like rescanning etc.

Check your signal level, INFO button.

post what your signal and quality % are on that channel also if your incoming cable is split and also if you are only paying for Broadband feed as to both

Hi, Signal is usually between 72-78 and quality is 58-68. Pretty sure cable isnt split as other channels are ok . Im subscribing to the broadband and tv package (virgin). Thanks for your replies

ok what firmware have you got on your box now is it the latest Sept file do a new scan and make sure you have your correct NetId for your area when scanning

Hi, Think i might have the older fw so iv just downloaded your latest one and will flash it again (thanks for uploading it )Scanning it brings up 2 in the bristol area and will go for the one you have in your guide(40970). Will let you know after flashing it

You don't need to flash it again, just update to the latest Firmware over the NET - Menu Installation 0000 and go down to S/W Update and press OK, the job is done.

my friend has same prob? but he has a splitter? hence the weak signal? will a cable booster help? he has latest software etc.

a splitter will drop yer signal and bad cabling, so no point in buying a booster is the cable or splitter is causing it

Just knew meh mate mickah would help is oot!!! Cheers mate!!! Will save the boy money from not buying a booster!! Will go and look at his set up? Hopefully sort it oot.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Thanks Malci for the advise and have updated it as you suggested and ss1 works fine now. Signal is 74ish and quality is in the 70s too. Fantastic!Thanks again to everyone here for their suggestions and feedback Much appericiated!

always best tto have the latest firmware on your box thats the idea of them releasing new firmware
