ok am in the grimsby area and just got home to find all my channels now black... i've done a factory reset and put the key code in and have many channels back,, one thing i've noticed sky sports 1 has gone, and channel 5 is in it's place 511 ?? am on firmware v1.7 i think,, any help would be gratefull
if your box is an original update firmware to v1.12,factory reset and a fresh scan.with n3 looming how long you get no one knows.just to add the same question has been asked and answered all you have to do is read the posts,it makes life easier.
hi shayne try having a look at a thread in the( list of all updated threads) its called (help for teeside starview4 users) posted in by jimmyb ,i know its a different area but it looks like he had a simillar issue to you and sorted it out. his post shows how he sorted it.
Just joined for this very reason. I too am from the Grimsby area and have the same problem. All i've done is delete the channels and rescan the box. Not too sure if i'm software 1.2, where would i get the software to upgrade it to this and where would i find it on the starview box? Is it MENU>>SYSTEM SETUP>>SYSTEM INFORMATION ? If so it shows the S/W version as being 1.05 Beta. Also, how do i do a factory reset and could i have a link to the "help for teeside starview4 users"? Lots of questions, some of them noobish. ok, just need one more bit of help, i've factory reset, put firmware v1.12 on rescanned and put keycode on, i have all my channels back, the only annoying thing is fx and sky sports are sharing channel 511, tried to move fx to a different channel number as don't want to lose it but in the channel edit menu i can't select the move or sort button, can anyone help ?
Took the plunge, managed to find the firmware for the starview, seems to be sorted, for now. Thank you ever so much for the help and advise, i'm sure i'll be back if i need anymore Just out of interest, what benefits does the 1.12 firmware give over other older ones?
i know i need to delete fx for swports to come in, but where fx should be channel 157 i think it's not there and don't want to lose fx as she watch's it a fair bit,
Think you'll just have to view slysports 1 through the all channels section then, I think you can download software so that you can move your channels about, but I aint sure and even if you can I don't know how to do it.

Did the same myself, top package with phone net & tv was gonna be about £70 per month, if they weren't so gready maybe people would go with them, surely more of less is better than nothing at all. But hey, what would we have to think about then!!!!!!!
