SV 6&7 use the same firmware, but no new firmware released for SV combo, is that right guys?

correct and not likely either closed sourced box which cannot be patched by new coders

That is not good news. Any way I have gone satellite with CS. Will go back to Cable when KV release an HD box.

i dont think KV would be stupid enough to release a HD box before a total fix to the SD box.
..and even if they did, would you buy their hd box with all channel problems on the sd side of things? i for 1 definitely wouldnt.

the combo works on sat side but u will have to pay between 100 pound - 150 for 12 month which is c line cccam the server will send you a password just google it and read up on it

Which I doubt very much any normal punter would as this is closed firmware, there is no way to load the cable side with a share, Dont you mean the Sat side is working with a CS

Cable is also available besides Sat, have a look for Carling+ if you have access to Cable server.

If you update to correct S-ware you can input third party server details.
Because you don't know something, don't think it's not happening.

What he means is you need to know someone doing card share on cable to get the box to work otherwise it will only work on Sat card share and tbh i would be doubtful if anyone would let you on their cable card share as it would be a friends and family only and they would be right doing it that way so i would be doubtful if that box will ever work on cable again

you cant on that box as its closed sourced you need a linux based box to do that which you do not have

So what is londonjon alluding to when he says you can share on the combo on cable? Its closed source, but he indicates that using the carling file you can? Care to share jon?

If you install Carling+ you will have the option to enter 3rd party server details (cable) just as you have had previously been able to with Sat servers on earlier versions of S-ware.
You will not get "gift" with Carling+ via Cable as some people have misunderstood.
Private cable servers are around, if your lucky enough to find one great you have another option to use the box for. If not at least you can use it for the sat side.
Enjoy either way .......
