All, as has been highlighted multiple times the Nagra game is soon at an end. What does this mean. This means that cable and MMDS services from NTL/Chorus (now UPC) are no longer open to those with emulators that wre able to decrypt these systems. So the Starviews, Krytpviews, Eurovoxes etc are rendered essentially useless. Thr last of the open systems is Chorus MMDS which is closing shortly as it goes to Nagravision 3. So the question is, well whats next. Should we wait for a nagravision 3 emulator fix. After spending a couple of years playing with these systems my belief is that the simple answer is NO. Nagrevision 3 as with SKY NDS has never been broken.

So is th game over. The game is never over. Many of you will already be familiar with the concept of cardsharing. For those who are unaware lets try and describe it in its simplest fashion. You have a Sky basic package at home with your card in the box. This card can be shared among friends using a programmable box (such as a dreambox). The absolute stipulation is that you must have a broadband connection at home where you can network connect your dreambox. Now there are loads of good sites that will give you tutorials on card sharing but it is my hope that in time that we can set up Stickys on this site to show exactly how to do this.

This is my understanding of what is available today. I would like other users to explain other possible potential avenues also. For those who wish to find out about card sharing please visit _www.eurocardsharing.com or use the resource of _http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/dreambox-general/. Both have all you need to know to allow you to proress.

In the meantime I would encourage members to suggest other new avenues of research into this topic. As one opportunity closes a new opportunity arises.

A Final word. NEVER CARDSHARE WITH SOMEBODY YOU DO NOT KNOW. The concept is for friends only. In particular never sign up to a card serving provider. This is illegal. Not only that but if the police crack down on them, then they will have your IP on the card sharing server to trace back to your home address. So let me state this again. SUCH AN ACTIVITY IS FOR FRIENDS ONLY.

Can card sharing be done with NTL Ireland (cable cardsharing)?
Everywhere I look it's all about SKY cardsharing (satellite cardsharing?.
    Thanks,

Each Nhell box is paired with the card that comes with the box.

So a card that comes with say Nhell Box A will not work with Nhell Box B

Already tried switching cards with different Nhell Boxes....No Joy

Very true and exactly the same with Skybox> You cannot use a paired Nhell card in a different Nhell box, nor can you use a Sly card in a different Slybox

Quite correct, it's likely some of these will pop up within the next few weeks/months and may become more public.

Its a case of where there is a will there is a way, as long as the market is there then surely we will have enough geniuses here and there to work out how to decode the decoders. This card sharing idea does it work like one group of say 5 friends are paying for one total package? 60 a month say so they have all the channels and then everyone in the group has the entire package?
