Get the Blade 7000HD box "NOT" the "COMBO" as it dont have software for it and will not work, its actually a redundant box for now.

and of course i must say that an open linux box beats all others :). if cost is not an issue the vu+ duo is so far above all boxes i have ever used. tuners are staggering

    Hi

This thread doesnt seem to have many answers....As many i am sure are interested in the answers, can anyone state without any jargon, which boxes are available at the moment that work without issues and which boxes are the cheapest...

Also once you have a box, is there additional costs?

Simple questions, simple answers required please

    thanks

the question is already answered. the blade is the simplest to setup. what do you mean by 'additional costs'

obvious is it not,the extra is the sub needed if you want the extra channels,if you dont pay same as a fresat box

hi to all ive been using a starview till recently when it expired which
i wont be updating i also have a kryptview which to be honest im really
pissed of with how unreliable it has become i really like the sound of
the blade with it not being a linux box do you think it will be around
for much longer or is there a good chance it could go down in the forseeable future with sky bringing in new encryption heard something not to sure to do with oscam

it is a closed sourced box if anything happens to it they are the only ones that can fix it.dreambox is open so many different factions can work on a fix.

and the cable side is no use unless you can add a share to it or if you know someone running a private cable share, so unless you can use it, its aint worth going for and pretty much useless, if you just want a good sat box, Blade is the one, want to dive deeper, go with a Dreambox HD,
