Error in TMPGEnc DVD Author 3

Hello
I'm trying to remove some logo's using DeLogo filter in Virtualdub MPEG2. I have a DVD "VOB format" and i use the frame server funktion in Virtualdub MPEG2. I open the server file in
TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 and follow the wizard.....
Now to the problem.
When I press Start output button, it says:
Unsupported file. (error code 0x80048003)"
Output preview is okay, subtitles and audio is appears and its running well.
Please help me how to make it works, thanks

Yes its work. I open the server.vdr.avi file wich i create under the the frame server in VirtueldubMPEG, in the TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 and it open the file with all the changes i make in VirtuelDubMPEG. I can make every other change i will in TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 but when i will start the output i get the error......pls help

You have successfully encoded a video in TmpgEnc 3 frameserved
from Vdub ?? I was never able to get it to work.
A possible work around is to install AVISYNTH an create a simple script
to open the VDR. Then open the script in Tmpg.

I dont know the Avisync...I read the link and its seems like the same proces. I use the frame server so i dont need to save in other format. I just do the changes and i still can keep the DVD "VOB format" There must be some one who can help???

Frameserving directly from Vdub to Tmpgenc 3 does not work.
I've seen quite a few posts - nobody, as far as I know could resolve it.
As you say, you can browse the preview but the encode always fails.
The workaround with avisynth works well. Why not try it.
Here are the details.
Install avisynth.
Setup virtualdub as before, start the frameserving and save the VDR
signpost file.
Open NOTEPAD and create a one line file with the following contents:
avisource("C:\your_path\your_file.vdr")
(obviously put in the proper path and filename)
Save the text file, and rename it to my_file.avs
Open the my_file.avs in Tmpgenc. I just tried it and seems to work.

Will this Avisync let me keep the DVD "VOB format"?

no, you don't need to reference the vob file in the
avisource statement. The VOB is already opened in Virtualdub,
and is framserved in order to get it to work.
It looks like this:
(vob source)>virtualdub> VDR> AVS file source > avisynth> tmpgenc
So it should look something like this:
avisource("G:\news\movie\server.vdr")
Make sure you have windows to not "hide extensions for known filetypes",
because it's confusing when they're hidden. You'll find this setting
in control panel/folder options.
Then in virtualdub, set the signpost to server.VDR - no need to
add the .avi

You are a angel!! I am so happy its work. I have used about 2 weeks working and reading about this process and its work now.....
Its work now and the output takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes...
The next question is: This DVD has 2 files. I will do the same on the other file. When they are finish can i, replace them with the original files or is there other thinks i shall do so i can burn them with NERO on a DVD????

You're taking 2 VOB's out of a Video_ts folder, re-encoding them,
and you want to replace the original VOB's with the two you created?
I don't think this will work as-is, you may need to reauthor the DVD,
and I think you may lose the original menu.
But this is not an area I'm that experienced with . If I were you,
when you're ready, make a new thread in the dvd video-authoring

The DVD has no menu... I will try to replace them and see what happens. Thanks a lot for you time and help. If it not work i will do a new thread.....

Well you can set the bit-rate to what ever you want (within the dvd
spec) when you do the encoding. If it's bigger than it was, it's
set too high.
One way of finding the bit-rate to use is to open the original VOB's in virtualdub and look at file/info. It will tell you there,
just use those values in the encoder.
Then make a post in the dvd-authoring forum as I mentioned before.
