Looking at purchasing a 1-5 sata drive dvd burner set-up on ebay but notice the cost of the additional hard drives you can choose from are rather pricey wondering if it would benefit me to order it without the hard drive and just add my own purchased local has anyone done this? T.I.A
all the time.. if it will run a dvd drive it will run a hdd.. as long as the internal connectors are the right type (oh and I think sata is the shoddiest crap I have ever encountered.. cheap nasty unreliable rubbish) shove your drive in the case.. if you want to bolt it in do so, but you will likely have to work out the screw holes.... myself I just use a bit of double side carpet tape..
