I have read as many posts as I can tolerate with no answer to my question on this drive. I bought an H-L 8163B with intent on backing up Wii games. I have found out that my firmware is 0S24 which doesn't register anywhere I can find.

If possible I would like to either backflash (sorry if it is incorrect terminology) or force flash to 0L30 as I have read that would be the most likely firmware to work.

I tried the LG firmware flasher but it tells me it will not work with this drive, I am assuming because it is a newer FW that what I am trying to flash it to. Hence my trying to backflash the FW

Any help on how to do either of these with specific instructions would be much appreciated.

I guess nobody out there knows more info. Guess I will check out other forums unless somebody can respond or has an idea.
