Loco, which do you think runs better/faster 32bit or 64bit?

I would expect the 64-bit OS would run faster, but then I don't know if Windows works the same way as Linux.

That's what I figured, also considering it would be an XP installation, it would run faster than Vista ever could...

No, do NOT get XP 64-bit, it's nowhere near as compatible as 64-bit Vista. For drivers and programs, it's practically useless.

I'm only running 2 gigs of RAM right now and can't really see a difference. I suspect when I add a few gigs I may see the benefits.

well i think i'll stick with xp 32bit then... as i can't stand how vista takes up the harddrive...

My current desktop on Vista (bit cluttered and unorganized, but i'm switching back to xp once i finish the nLite intergration)

I hate desktop icons, and i hate the 'start/programs' bar almost as much (but only because it balloons out of control). What i do is create a folder in the quick launch bar and put all the icons in there. So to run things i just click on quick launch icon, run the relevant program then close the quick launch folder. As Gordon Ramseys says, 'Done'.

Gordon Ramsey also says a lot of other things. Rude things.. :p

Kind of like you creaky, I have a shortcut folder called 'games' since that's what most of my icons are.
