i have been using ritek 04 regularly and went to buy some more at the same time i bought a new pioneer 109 before i installed it i tried a new disc from 1 of the spindles i bought and it worked fine so again i tried a disc from the old spindle and again the same problem so i checked the identity and i think my problem was i had a spindle of fakes i took them back to the shop with my unopened pioneer 109 and got my money back. i have burned several discs since no problems at all thanks for your suggestions

Well thats good to hear you got your problems sorted out.

I had the same problem with some Ritek Ridata branded.
Right in the middle of the spindle, they started to get the PCE. I slowed my burn speed down to 2x, and was able to finish burning the rest of the spindle.
Even the relatively good stuff, can be bad at times.
