not eveyone wants to go out and find the cracked progs , if everyone did that the software companies would go out of business and then no one would be able to do anything on their pc's .

ive bought many programs over the years including nero 7 (yes i paid 49.99 in wh smith in the uk ) and im glad i paid for it cause i get tech support and i also know i didnt steal it!.

    just my opinion

Now wait just a damm minute! I buy my software for a variety of reasons mostly because copies dont work correctly most of the time, like call of duty 2 when you go online with a copy and someone else has the same serial one of you gets booted and when im smoking someone with a machine gun I dont want to be kicked from the game because of a serial issue. But likewise I have lost the jewelcase for nero 6.0 before and contacting nero for a replacement or even technical support never works they simply dont respond to emails. I have had 0 luck talking to technical support from adobe to winzip including microsoft and other heavy hitters. So what im saying is if you own a piece of software and you cannot get help then you have to do what you have to do to make it work INCLUDING downloading whatever component you need to make the software work. What im telling you is you dont need to pay full price for a piece of software and you certainly dont need to take chances with pirated software. I have bought software on ebay that was released a couple of weeks ago that cost me 1/4 the retail pricetag. With nero 7.0 you simply have to watch for specials and rebates like I did it was free. Until technical support steps up to the massive prices of windows xp and nero 7.0 ($199 and $99 respectively) I will never feel sorry for a company losing money to piraters. If they want premium prices they need to provide premium technical support. My 2 cents.

i love reading this stuff..you guys are so funny...who cares if anyone downloads anything...the main reason we are using this site is to burn (rip) dvds we dont own. who gives a rats butt if a dude needs info on how to get a key.....everyone freaks out ...im glad to call myself a nerd but you guys yelling back and forth about this stupid crap is just a waste of your and everyones time.

you're right, it's wastes our time, so let the sites out there that allow keygen etc discussions, keep doing it, and we can spend our time here not having to ask ppl to have some common sense. everyone knows that there are sites out there where it's fair game to talk about cracking/keygens etc. fine, let it stay out there on those kind of sites. we're just interested in keeping THIS site clean..

Hey spiral you say your amused but its a waste of your time? So you believe wasting your time is amusing? Sounds like an identity crisis to me. You need to figure out why your here either to learn something or be amused either way I dont think you know. Thats a shame because the only one wasting his time is you. Until you figure it out that is. Is it fun wasting ones life? I myself have alot of fun in mine how about yours? HEHEHEHEH cheers mate!

you are perfectly right but sometimes its better to say nothing rather than provoke a response you know will come and then the proverbial sh*t hits the fan

hmmmm....instead of everyone jumping to conclusions about piracy, since anyone can legally download the full version of Nero from their site, you all missed one neat little program Nero has provided us.

Nero StartSmart. Within that program, you will find your key...as well as all the keys you have used to install all Nero products. It's there in Nero 6, and as an option to install in 7. If you have it, run it. Click on the flame icon, bottom right hand corner (Product Center). Click on the second tab to see your key.

Now, as far as morals go, none of us is squeaky clean. In the U.S., copying, ripping, or the use of any such software, or teaching others how to do it, is illegal. So, where does this site stand? Right on the fence where most of us are truly comfortable living, such as I am. I believe in paying for what I want to use, because it's the right thing to do...however, I have the right to protect my investments as I see fit...within reason, and there is no harm in creating backups of material that is to be used for my benefit only. Though, in the eyes of my govt, it is still illegal. Same as piracy.

True, there are sites that teach the good and the bad. The moral of the story is, where do your loyalities lie? Like all citizens, I pay my taxes, my dues, and my penalties when I am wrong, but I'll be damned if someone else is going to tell me how to live. Which is why I vote!!! ;)
