Hi, all, I have borrowed a disc from a friend - who very selfishly has now gone abroad on holiday for Xmas so I cannot get in touch with him! He claimed he had put a movie for me on the disc, but when my PC opens it it is an Image file (Nero??) and will not play, and when I put it into my DVD player it states that its' content is "unplayable". Is there any way, or a program, to get the movie "out" of the Image file format and into a "movie" format so my DVD player can play it for me, please? I don't mind trying to turn it back into vob files etc and burning it to another DVD disc. Cheers, V
An .img file is an image of a Cd/DVD ready to be burned to a disk ! In Nero you can burn this and then it will be playable in your player. If you want to familiarize yourself ... have a look here :- http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm
Hi, I have tried to burn the Image to to a DVD again using Nero, and my DVD player tells me that the DVD "Does not contain any playable content"? Is there a program/method I could use to extract/convert the contents of the file into "playable" content i.e. vts or vob files, which should be there if what you say is correct, Jeanc1? Thanks for the quick reply, btw. Cheers, V
MagicISO is a powerful and easy CD/DVD image file edit tool. It can open / create / edit /extract CD/DVD image files, and convert bin to iso and back. Make image files from CD-ROM or hard disk, and handle bootable information at meanwhile.
"Et voila" it was done - thanks, Jeanc1, Magic Iso did it straight away. Why the silly _______ couldn't just leave then as Audio and Vieo folders I've no idea. I'm off to watch me a movie. Cheers, and thanks again, V
