Nokia Dbox2

Turner I have a fully working Commando image in Eamos at the bottom of my post for N** Dublin, now I will leave it for you

The image is there for you all set up for Dublin. There are also guides in Eamos to help you also. Just FTP the image over to your box.

 

depending on what image you are using

press dbox button
select services
select image upgrade
select back image
always select flash without bootloader
your image will be backed up in the temp folder
open the temp folder drag that image (mtd3.img) to the other side of the ftp (comp side)
now rite click on the mtd3 on the dbox and delete
now grab your image from scoucer drag and drop that into the temp folder.
grab the remote again
select dbox button
select service
select image upgrade
no this time select flash one partition
always select flash without boot loader
then you will get a little screen on the tv the image you put in the temp folder will be visable on the info box
select it
follow the prompts ok ok press red along them lines
your box will begin the flashing process

bare in mind images do tend to vary above is a rough guide line but should be very simular

Hi turner i just downloaded the new image from your links (told you a profile would come in handy)i have also grabed them videos

follow Turner123's guide onpage 167, flash a new image, im using Laky Pro and allwill be sorted.

just for every1 read page 167 and also you need this to flash an image

Hi All.

Just about to move house to a non cabled area, i checked the virgin wesite and they CAN supply all services, INCLUDING tv down a BT phone line.

i take it this is a different signal and my dbox is now bin fodder???!!!!

 

Sorry to say but yes you are correct. Have you thought of Sat as an alternate?

 

Hi, i am currently connecting my dbox2 to the comp, im using FlashFXp programme to transfer the image,
However, its asking for my-
server or url which im inputting the I.P. address I got off the box,
username- im inputting "root"
password- "dbox2"

Are these correct?
(there is also remote path which im leaving blank & proxy server which is set to default)

Or is there any other software that might make this easier?

I have also tried the password "commando"......as seems to be a possibility but no joy

 

hi all cud anyone direct me towards a noob guide to flashin a dbox via vista or a guide on how to install the auto key update plz. if it helps im usin sportster 1.6 uk01 image on sagem dbox. not sure if it wud b better to flash latest sportster image or put auto update in. havent done either b4 so wud appreciate a noob guide. hav checked about but can only find how to do it thru older windows and understand that vista is different to those. thanks in advance for any advice

vista just as easy and if you have read any of these posts you ll see that some1 has just done what your asking page 167 and the flash process is above couple posts up from here, i made the tutorial with vista so you should nt have any problems

has anyone lost celtic tv on there dboxes have all channels working except that one even rangers tv still works. not good when i'm a hoopy.

Hi there,

Yea celtic tv is still working, i suggest you do a scan leaving your boquests to existing. This usually sorts these types of issues.

Remember the celtic tv is not always broadcasting. I cant remember the times but im sure its usually about 5pm.

Server/URL is the IP of the dbox....
Username is root......
Password is dbox.

If you are having problems with FlashFXp, use the link below which will take you to my downloads page. Go to 'Image Flashing and File Transfer programs' and download Filezilla....its really easy to use. There are also other bits and bobs there and some images too. Hope this solves your problems.

hi all im tryin to connect to my dbox2 with the instructions on page 167 from turner. i downloaded cute ftp and bought a crossover cable. havin tried this im gettin a message sayin server is unreachable. verify that the destination host name or ip address is correct try again later. the error msg reads cannot conect to remote server. socket error=#10065. any advice wud b much appreciated as i hav never done anythin like this b4. thanks in advance 4 any advice
