been using DVDshrink for a few weeks and it's brilliant, but I decided to get a spindle of DVD9s to backup some of my favourite movies in full quality without compression. The first few worked OK but since then the burn process always fails about halfway through burning the second layer, I'm building up quite a collection of coasters! Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong would be gratefully received. Here's the log if it's any help:

    Hello.

Nero is not the best when it comes to burning DL disks. You'll probably get better results with ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter. If you have AnyDVD running, just use DVD Decrypter.

In ISO Read Mode rip the disk to your HDD.
In ISO Write mode, burn the ripped ISO by selecting the MDS file associated with the ripped ISO.

    Otherwise, here's an ImgBurn guide:

    http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=ee972734cbfab2c6a890bafdee21b58e&showforum=4

The Ricoh D01 media is burnable but not the best. Verbatim +R DL is the best, no question. Some burners have trouble burning the media.

Also slow your burn speed to 2.4X.

I couldn't find a firmware update for your burner, so you must have the most recent firmware available.

It appears that you installed Nero 7 over Nero 6. You should probably uninstall Nero 7 and then run both the Nero 7 and Nero 6 Clean Tools:

    http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html
    http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html

Reinstall Nero 7 after running the Clean Tools.

    Edit: typos
