just guaging a little opinion here on v 3.00ee,while i am glad its come along and got us all back up and running,i personally dont think its quite as stable as 257 was,dont get me wrong its fine,but i must say about every 40 mins or so i will get the scrambled channel message for a few secs,then after a few secs it sorts itself out. i never got this with 257 , just wondering if anyone else suffers this on v 300ee especially in ex c+ w area?

Put codes in - bow is now working - all channels back - the problem I have is about every 20/30 mins in scrambles for about 10 seconds - any ideas on how to fix this - I live in Ireland have NTL.

 

i will test mine jobbers cos i use a dbox2 downstairs
i will use my starview tomorrow all night and give it a good test and get back on that

i have only had it on 20 mins at a time upstairs cos i am a lazy lad and fall asleep during the movies etc.

 

You need to be on 255 or 257 firmware.the newer firmwares cause this problem.

NEW Update for the Starview Box as of 27/05/07



Follow the Below instructions.



The links at the bottom can be used to download

1) Software

2) Firmware

3) WinZip - If you need it



Instructions

1) Plug in the RS232 cable into the serial port on the pc and the other end into the back of the box.

2) Open the software "GT Rom" and click "BIN FILE", select the new file given called "STARVIEW_H20070527_300eE_PRITZapi". This will show up in the space.

3) Switch on the box.

4) Once you see "on" on the box or a channel number, press Download on the program…this will load the image on to the box and will take approximately 2mins. Once this is compete it will show you on the PC screen.



Wait til you get "ON" on the box, and that means you can switch off and unplug. (If you get a channel number that's fine aswell)

That's it your done.

Run the scan as normal,

Follow instructions for scanning if you are unsure.

This time in the EMU screen choose SET DEFAULT KEY...then turn EMU on and EXIT.



If when updating there Is a long delay, you can exit and start over the again.

but surely steo if i go back on to that i will have to manually input the keys,thus rendering the autoupdating key thing as useless

well which would you prefer. something that you cannot watch or the inconvenience of typing in a few codes. As far as
i know they are working on a fix for the channel freezing issue but until then I am staying with 2.57.

 

your right jobbers if you got back it will not auto re roll and will go of again soon

i dont think people realise that to manualy input the keys is only a very short term fix

 

Hi all
Need some help with my bxs! i have two clone bxs that will not come back on !
Ive tried with 257 258 and the load goes ok !
Then i put in the tw keys and store, i also do the emu key yet they keep running through the update proccess to 200% then over again..
I have two real bxs that ive done with the 300 sw that came back on straight away!!!

Anyone any ideas as im stuck!

 

why not flash your clones with 3.00ee

boot up / switch on
then reflash with 257 and they might hold the key fix from 3.00ee version then run ok on 257 bin file

hi i have upgraded my box to 3.00 and everything works gr8 exept for zee cinema which says scrammbled channel.......but im woried about my box messing up because there is comfusion between clone and genuine boxes...if my box is fake should it appear to be heating up more than it was on 2.57..and by the way my scart is on the right when looking at it from the rear.

sounds like a fake
i would now try and flash it with 257 as you have now fixed the key roll for now

3/00ee needs the faster processer of the genuine box to run for long periods

its ok for short term but i have heard it will burn it out if left on too long


and 257 might work now

damm im stupid the scart is on the left when looking from the rear....and ive checked the clone guide on satdownloads and my box appears to be real judging from the pictures......and it doesnt appear to be heating up much at all...do clones normally overheat?

What up with these clone bxs not taking the new 257 258 software??
Are they all having the same prob?
Ive input the new keys, as on here, and the download seems to go ok!

Will the 300 sw screw them up if i dwld it??

Also the new 300 on the real bxs seems to freeze and go to scrambled
around every 15 mins for about 10secs!!
Is anyone else having this happen??
