hiya glic83 wat have i done ere ive got dreamup an other dm500 moddy program done flash but wat i think i done was wen flash erase i done yes instead of no so then wen i scan it it has no bruteforce 2 scan with just autoscan it on 6900 insted of 6952 wat am i doin wrong or have i broke my m8s box so then i got dw2.0 and flashed again this time wen sed flash erase i sed no flash sed ok plug it back in tv blank screen no features work or the remote or the box so do i have 2 ftp the nagrom 7 10 11 files can i do that with null cable pls help were am i goin wrong i need pure help pls or is there any1 in liverpool i cud meet so they can sort me box out 4 me sort them out aswell cheers ppl let me no either way pm me or email me millerlfc@blueyonder.co.uk

 

first off its not wise to post your email on an open forum like this,just ftp the files over to the dreambox,you will need a cross over cable(ethernet)

you just need to ftp the new roms into var/keys pm me with your email address and ill send them to you

 

Hey im trying my damn best to fix my dads dreambox 500c I got a rs232c cable and connected it to my pc but i cannot flash using dream up it says theres something alive with my ip which is not dreambox???? any help on how to fix this as channels are saying saying error?

 

Hi gamlin25, first of all you need to ensure that the cable you have got is actually a null modem cable as standard serial cables are also rs232 compliant but they will not work to flash the dreambox mate.

 

Hi I got a rs232c cable which has a male end and a usb end i also bought a female to female adapter to connect the two ends together, its a 9 pin if im correct if you have got a picture of the right cable I would appreciate or the correct name. also what software do I need to update on it???? I got a starview box myself which is far more easier for me but i gotta sort this out for me dad. many thanks.

 

Hi again, you need a null modem cable. It has a 9 pin female plug at each end. As far as I am aware it can't be done using a usb to 9 pin din plug. I may be wrong about that though. The pin outs are normally as follows:

5 SG SIGNAL GROUND
1 DCD DATA CARRIER READY

hey yeah i got one on order so when i get this null modem cable, i connect to me pc then run dream up, then flash? the dream box???? what do I do after that?????

 

Hi , can anyone send me working Image for DM500 as changed NagraRom7 bin file for a friend but will not autoupdate.

tell him restart evocamd then turn to sky sports then wait till it udates it might take a while did he ftp the rom 7 fix himself or did you?

 

I ftp the nagarom7.
I have since from this forum got updated Rom10 and 11 and ftp to box.
Cleared the Keylist.txt file and allow to Autoupdate on N*L . worked.
