Eurovox Max problem

    is the signal booster turned on?assuming you have a maxv of course,sportyguy.

    Yep it is the maxv 2008, showing my lack of knowledge but what is the signal booster ?

    press menu-config-tv settings-last option signal booster.

    slight progress !! booster now on. although no pic and NO SIG msg on screen. the onscreen guide its now telling which prog should be showing, it wasnt prev

    I think you will need to buy a signal booster,try another powerscan with the booster on.

    have done and will let you know thanks. just a tech question. have had box 16mnth n had no real probs. could v**gin deliberately have recently weakened the sig to stop us ?

    wouldn't think so i just think you have a weak signal in your area at the moment.

    Hi again, bought booster( from argos as per your rec )be grateful if you could tell me how to fit it. does it go in line direct to max box ?

    really aint too sure far as can see it goes between max box and tv , using male/male lead ( which unfortunately i aint got ) from booster out - to tv aerial in ? just wanted to check if this is correct before i go and buy one. whats your opinion Karl /

    reckon the main feed goes into the booster,so you will need another coaxil lead from the booster to the box.

    that does sound more logical, thanks. Is it possible to get coax cable with end fittings at maplins, or even pc world etc

    should be no bother in maplins,there easy enough to get in any tv or electrical shop.
