Hi there, having huge trouble with Nero for some reason. It's the OEM version that came with the burner but has been updated to the latest from the Nero site. Also I updated the firmware for the LG. Basically the only thing I can see is you are burning at MAX speed using a not so good quality disc. Try slowing burn to 32X.
Verbatim CDs have left me wondering as of late. I have ALWAYS used and recommended Verbatim only to find out the ones I use are made by CMC Mag....a company that has a horrible name in producing DVDs...their CDs however cant be faulted. As to your question...who knows, good luck.
6.6.0.18 is the most stablest version of Nero 6 and I would update it to that version. Here's how: Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot! install package one: http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539 then install package two: http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html reboot and you're good to go!
I did all the tips, thanks for that. The LG still dies every time, same error. I chucked in a Pioneer DVR-212 which worked perfectly! Tried the LG again, No Go. I'm never buying LG again.. didn't even want this one but it was packaged with the computer.
well...... the Pioneer DVR-212 has new firmware available from 1.09 to 1.21 found here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2365 use Verbatim CDs if you're burning CDs. those are the better disks.... and along with a firmware update. that's about it,
OK updated firmware, i should have seen that! Did a Simulation which worked. Then a real burn that got a Write error. These are Verbatim but they say Mitsubishi in the log, something is fishy.
I would check to see if the Pioneer burner is installed correctly! and Verbatim is made by Mitsubishi Chemical! check out the media guide: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm notice the MCC code..... check out that the burner is installed correctly!
Installed correctly? What exactly do you mean? It's SATA so I just plugged in both cables. Seems to read discs fine.
