    Here's a couple of new ones for me. Both burned on my external Litey (LH-20A1HX). Both ar TYs burned at 12x with ImgBurn.

    Interesting thing is that the first one was burned with a VIDEO_TS folder while the second was burned with an image file. I didn't think there should be a difference in burn quality depending on what you're burning but maybe there is.

    Yeh I haven't gotten a 98 yet either but the burning seems to be going better with the new update. :)

    I've been real impressed with the low PIE's on some of this media, especially the MCC 003. You getting the same results cincyrob??

    Didn't get the DL burn last night but gonna try tonight I think. I've never done one so it's about time. :p

    @greensman,

    If those DLs are anything other than Verbs, I'd recommend not burning faster than 2.4x!

    It'll be interesting to see how your burners handle the layer break (and if your jitter scan can get past it also!)

    Have pretty much given up on lowering jitter on my Liteys. Tried a slower burn (had read to burn slower to reduce) with no improvement. ;(

    @All,

    98s???? I can't remember ever getting a scan higher than a 95(except on my Benq)!

    yes i agree the pie's and pif's are lower..plus ive noticed. maybe just be me but when i burn on the fly my pie's&pif's are lower to. when i rip to my hdd and burn from there they seem to be twice as many PIE's

    Had to add these for the people that know and don't know. :)

    MCC 02RG20 recorded with MTK 1818 at 8X.
    scan of MCC 02RG20

    CMC MAG M01 recorded with same drive at 8X
    scan of CMC MAG

    NOW if you people that defend CMC MAG media can't tell the difference between these 2 discs then keep using that crap!!!! I did the same thing on both media and didn't touch the computer when it was burning. :D

    I bet those CMC mags aren't too bad if you keep your size under 3700. ;-)

    Already had BIG Kahuna's....lol. I've been experimenting with the faster burns and I'm not getting that different of burns to tell you the truth. Comparing 8X to 12X burns on certain media. I've done a few 8X discs at 12X and they come out alright. LOL. I even tried a 8X disc at 16X and it went to about 12.5X and then backed down to 6X for a finish. Scanned the disc and it came out OK with a 93 score and PIE's not to bad. If I can find the scan I'll post it. :)

    I'll see what I can do about getting you the scans since you are hog-tied. hehehe.

    @gm, so it's a REALLY big deal when your wife busts them???....lol :D

    Here's a couple of new ones, a 4x burned Verb DL & 2 Yuden 03, 1 off my external Litey & 1 from my internal one.

    http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s102/hobbit112/Woodstock220a1h12xBurnTY.png

    I'm finding the Verb DLs are burning better @ 4x vs. 2.4x. Maybe one of these days I'll give it a shot @ 6x.

    The 16x TYs burn best for me @ 12x, a better "sweet spot" then @ 8x. Have also tried them @ 14x, 16x, 18x & 20x. Still get decent results but 12x is the best.
