Here's the second burn via the WH12LS39. Better than the last one :D Although this dye is NON LTH. Verbatim 6X BD-R Hub/printable burned at 4X.

Here's one of the more favored medias. Not! LOL!

A Ritek/Ridata 4X BD-R burned at 2X via my older LG WH10LS30. Verified with imgburn(passed). The scan is actually rather agreeable for Ritek. I've seen much worse with these dyes. I'll trust it for now. This will be one of those discs that I check back on every 6 months or so, to see how the data is holding up ;)

Here's a 6X LTH Verbatim BD-R. Burned at 4X via WH12LS39. I swear it's learning this media LOL! Or it's simply breaking in nicely. However, I believe I'll be shrinking my backups a bit more. I'm seeing a trend. Around the outer edge, the scan quality begins to degrade. Which makes sense. I believe I'll stick with 20 - 21Gb now. Depending on the circumstances of course. I should scan a TY today :D

Here's my backup of the movie 300. 6X LTH burned at 4X via WH12LS39.

I'd say the video quality looks worse than the scan though. Apparently they added artificial film grain(overdid it by the way) to cover up the CGI, and give it a more natural appeal. It's fairly distracting! I just hope when I project it beyond 100" down the road, it doesn't look too bad.

I rarely Buy DVD-Rs any more. I have very few of those left. Mostly TY T03's, and some TDK Ritek F-16s. I'm generally into playing with BD-R's any more :p

DVD is the past :p Hello guys! :) Fact is, I have multiple BR scans I've been meaning to post. Needless to say, LTH discs are something I won't be trusting for a while. Possibly never. I'm concerned about longevity.

Hey Ripper how's it going long time no chat.
So I should stay clear of the LTH media when I get the chance to get back into the BR world.lol I got this nice BR burner and only have about 8 burns on it. Lmao

Has been a while. Not bad here thanks, how've you been?

I haven't burned a DVD in a while, think I'm still sad on some YUDEN003s or whatever they are from way back when.

    Best Regards,

I thought this thread was dead. Hello to the ole timers-Ripper especially since he made Addict the day before me. Also good tidings to the rest of you.

I haven't made too many burns lately because the movies have been awful. I haven't bought any lately either. I had too many. Mainly using Taiyos +RTO-2s and 3s. no problems. Still no BR ones. Recently I copied the second disc I ever burned without a hiccup.-a mag at that Greensman. I did think I was in need of help for Cabin in The Woods but managed somehow-still asking myself why after I watched it.

The other big thing in my life is that I have finally retired. All the days are the same now with nothing I have to do anymore. I'm in Heaven. 45 years cutting on teeth. Long time.

That sounds good to me, enjoy your retirement. I'm going to have to get a proper job in a few years - ah, the student life!
