Problem Starview 3, NEED HELP PLEASE!

Being following your threads. I have a box (super) and tried to download channels but it will not save any. Am I using the correct firmware? I have two optios in Eamo's Library. And on a related matter can you explain what the dump channel.bin file is for?

Need to post what firmware you have on the box, and explain what you mean by downloading channels, question is confusing and you need to start from scratch. You download firmware to the box and then scan for channels, and a cdf file is a channel dump (that may be for your area and in pre-arranged order) but you need the correct one.

Sorry for any confusion that may have been caused, but I see you are sorted okay now.

 

First of all you cannot put a cdf file on a starview box as it is not compatable the starview 3super will scan for the channels if the connection is strong and not going thru a splitter if you only got the box you will first have to flash it in order to get into the cas menu so if you have purchased this in the last week or so put the V7.05 on to the box then come back and let us know where you are at with the software

Yes karl i know there are cdf files in the folders but you cannot use them on a starview box as in the post quoted on here just have a look

not to throw a spanner in the works but i saw a dublin digivox dump with vers 2.8000 used in title now obsolete because of frequency changes.lol

 

you need 2 cables first which are below

null modem cable




usb adapter



when you have these then we will go forward

Fair play to you CC, I was generalising in answering a query as to what was a cdf, not advising to do one on the SV should have left it at that (closed brackets) - but I realise how it does look in particular with it being an SV thread have edited post - See you are now up and running emo, good luck and I hope I did not confuse you.
