Starvi*w clone and starview 3- firmware problem

    I have a StarVW clone (API 2.57e-E Boot ver. 7.0) and StarVW 3. (API 6.0e_E Boot ver 8.0)

    I can't get any channels anymore, tried factory reset and scanned for channels and am getting nothing (I'm putting EMU on and still nothing)

    Do I need to flash the boxes with new firmware, if so please could somebosy know which firmware for each box

    n*L recently changed my system and gave me these new huge U*C boxes don't know if I still have to scan for N*L or Cho*** now. Is cho*** listed as EX C&W on the network privder option or what?

    there should be a listing for c****s in provider.

    When did you last update the firmware ?

    What message does it say on your screen ?

    Make sure you have your pipe cable in the "Cable Input" port.

    And you still should be N*L if you were previously before you got U*C b0x.

    I definately have the cable in cable input, it could have been march-apr when i flashed the box last

    the channel info comes up but know picture, NTL replaced my old box with theses us U*C boxes as per the other post, does this mean I'm on another system now?

    john, flash the clone sv1 with the Crypstar-v-1.4-Core 2.57 bin.
    Try the 6.01 on the SV3 & see if this makes a difference.

    hi guys I got my stv3 working last nite just did a channel scan for ch**us and it worked (so the new YOU PEE SEE boxes are using ch0r** signal).

    Unfortunately I cannot choose chor** as a serivce provider on my sv1 clone at the installation stage, it only allows N*L, TW and EX C&W and OM. I flashed the clone back in march with N*L firmare, will I need to flash it now to get the option to do a scan for Chor**

    as far as i am aware will not work with sv1,meant to say originals not supporting c****s,strange as in provider list lol.
    it wont do any harm to put cryptstar for clones 257 on it and try scanning.

    Can anyone help - our starview box is now saying scrambled or bad channels when we scan. 333 channels are found, emu is switched on but still no channels. Nagravision states Chorus. I seem to remember myself needing TW or Virgin equivalent. Are there any updated software downloads currently running for 4.00eE boot version 7.0 7 June 2007. Would downloading same software again correct this problem or do I need new software version. Thanks

    Try this, menu > 1570
    go to "set default key" press ok
    Exit to s*y sports & let it update. Dont change the ch@nnel while waiting on it to update.
