Ok I got a cheap 32GB SD HC card that now shows it to have 8MB or unusable data on it.

How do I fix this? 0-o

I have read Fdisk might fix it and I might can flip the remvoeable bit on it with another program but...really...how do I just fix the damn thing?

fdisk is obsolite. You could dry using diskpart (start>run>"CMD" then "diskpart" and then "?")

The card is probably dead, but it won't hurt to try the "Clean" command within diskpart.

8MB usually implies the drive has failed.

...Or that it was purchased from eBay (ebay even has a warning about these cards).

The same goes for most unbranded stuff off ebay, let's be honest. If quality matters, I only buy stuff off ebay if I know exactly what I'm looking for.

That's not wat the warning was about. The warning is about conterfeit flash memory cards. Aparently a lot of people are selling true counterfeit cards complete with packaging. The cards look nearly identical to the real thing, but have only a few MB of cheap memory inside.

Oh right, didn't know that. The fact that Zippy said 'now shows' suggests it wasn't like that from the off though. Thanks for the heads up though!
