    Hi
    I've got an eMachine (W5243) with a 17inches widescreen.
It's specified to have an maximum resolution of 1440x900.
Does anyone know how I maybe can get a bigger resolution running?
Do I have to get a bigger LCD screen? BTW does my eMachine support bigger LCD(24inches)?

    Thanks

If you were to bump up the resolution, you would only see part of the image on the screen. As for a new LCD, you should be able to get away with a high-res 24 inch.

SO does my eMachine really support a 24inches LCD(1900x1200)? It said that the max resolution is 1440x900 i guess it's just the monitor?

BTW can a video card or graphic card that's with NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1) make the screen resolution different or it's just the screen/monitor that reached it max?

monitors only have so many pixels.. fact of life .. unlike crt monitors which would attempt to run higher (until they also reach their phosphor matrix limit) an lcd has no option.

and hahahahaha.. an e-machine .. don't waste money on it.

I realize that... The E-Machine W5243 is outdated so bad and they still sell it now for 500 bucks... They should get sued LMSAO...
