    Hi there,

You can burn a .cue/.bin with Nero.

    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/bin_cue_with_nero.cfm

Most likely, this is a VCD/SVCD (CD-R) image. You will have to burn this image to CD-R.

You can use a tool like ISOBuster, that can open the image file, and let you extract files from it, just like WINZIP and a .ZIP file.

On the other hand, you can use tools like Daemon Tools v3.47, or Alcohol 120%.

These tools will let you "mount" as image and your windows operating system will see a Virtual CDROM drive. (Drive Y:\ for example).

This way you can see what's in the image file, run stuff, install stuff from it.

If it's a VCD/SVCD image, you will have to convert those .MPG files to DVD format before you can burn then on a DVD-R and view them on your DVD player.

You can use VSO DivXtoDVD --> http://www.vso-software.fr/download.htm
to convert those MPG to DVD format.

Once converted, you need to burn/create a DVD-Video.
Use Nero or your favorite burning software to burn.

hi cougar.... i just have an additional question about bin and cue files.
i have bin/cue movie files that are seperated into disc1 and disc2. is it possible to join that file into one file only? so that i could burn onto one dvd disc. using nero or alcohol 120%.
    thanx for ur reply.

    hi all

    cougar_ii has you covered!

but the above means encoding! encoding = loss of quality! and having to wait ages for for encoding

but you can extract the mpegs out of the bin files useing isobuster, then use a free app called dvd patcher to fool authoring software making it believe its mpeg2 from an mpeg, as authoring doesnt loose quailty it just makes vob/ifo/bup for burning! which is mpeg2 really!

dvd patcher no waiting or encoding, just author

to author 1 and above amount of files i use tmpgenc dvd author

if useing dvd patcher tick / change the first header in each mpeg to make it mpeg2 aswell as setting 8000bitrate and your chioce of pal or ntsc format.

    hi

yes go with 8000 and horizontal size 720 (dvd, dvb)

i did those bad mpegs both that divxtodvd cocks up and yup dropped to tmpgenc and it plays on standalone and pc!

but due to it being abit duffo it goes to one side in the tmpgenc screen but play correct when burnt!

so try good mpeg/bins hursty it may get rid!

    but still works anyway!

no quailty loss! and encoding time what you see is what you get at end!

    hi there

a new question on bin and cue files...... i have a movie that is in bin and cue files, its an xvcd tho, i have tried it in nero but had no joy, maybe i am doing something wrong........... i launch nero...select dvd... then burn image to disk... i browse til i find the desired file...click open.....but when i do that it puts the name of the file in the top box (look in: (file name) ) but when i do this thats as far as i get, the box below "look in" is now empty. Am i doing something wrong or am i using the wrong program for burning? i have several programs for burning..... shrink, decrypter, dvd santa, nti(but dont like it, it crashes my pc) divxtodvd, nero and clone.......can anyone suggest how i can do this? thanks folks!!!! sorry if u have already answered this, but im not too crash hot on burning therefore didnt understand the reply

you can either burn the bin image to a cd or convert it to dvd format
this has already beed stated above, but here it is in more simplier terms

    bin > dvd

get isobuster, and load in the bin image
right click on mpeg2 and "extract mpeg but filter m2f2 mpeg frames"
this will give you a mpeg file
you can now convert this with a program of your choice, depending on what you have
i use mainconcepts mpeg encoder, which converts the mpegs into dvd compliant mpegs
then load them into tpmge author, click through the steps and convert to video/audio ts folder which in turn you burn to dvd

you could try just extracting the mpegs from the bin image and patching the mpeg with the dvd patcher as shown above, but i am not 100% on the settings for that just yet.anyways if you want to give that a try, after you patch the mpeg with the patcher, just load it into tmpge author(cuts out the need for converting),and burn the video ts folder

if you want to use nero, you will to select nero vision express and load the mpeg file in,this will also give you a video ts folder, agin which you burn

    thanks

i have tried to do it in nero.....have selected vision express then add video files, i get a pop up box asking me to "look in" but again like it did before when i select the film title its empty............could this be a problem with the actual files or am i still not grasping the idea and its me thats doing something wrong? does this have to be encoded in divxtodvd first by any chance? thanks

    Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i have selected "all files" in the drop down box, its will then come up in the big box with the file names (the bin file and the cue file) i have selected firstly the bin file, then tried both files, but having no luck at all. It comes up saying it is "unable to insert" the file...........im just about ready to delete them altogether here!!! Hee Hee!!
