im a 1-day noob meaning that i want to start modding now...but the thing is i dont know what to get or anything...any suggestions wud be nice
Hi, I'm so new to modding XBOX too. I know something about modding PS2 but i have no clue about XBOX. So say if I buy a XBOX what do I need to get it to play back up games. and I heard that we can't make copy of XBOX's game because it uses somekind of format our computer wont read so what do i do to get my XBOX to load game from harddrive and how to put game on the hard drive? THanks in advance and yeah please be very specific about all that I have to do? Like what is softmod does it meand that i don' need mod chip?
well if your planning on softmodding then you mite want to pick up the exploit for either Mech Assault, Agent Under Fire, or Splinter Cell. They have to be the original ones and not those platinum hits ones. go to www.xbox-tribe.com then click xbox downloads, then exploit then download one of the UXE_AutoInstaller for the game you have. you'l need action replay to complete the process. once you grab action replay head over to my site www.freewebs.com/softmodding101/ to softmod your xbox. good luck and make sure you follow the directions correctly or your box may not work.
there is a ton of information at xbox scene on how do the mods. a whole forum strictly dedicated to it. there are tuts on anything you want to do to an xbox. including the soft mods, a pc version of the action replay to load on a generic memory card. if you are new to modding, you should REALLY go there and look up softmodding.
its really easy if you buy a chip i just started modding a week ago on a broken xbox given to me and now i got it up and runnin a week later if u want to mod with a chip i can help u but not with soft moddin
the easiest (and safest) way to mod is with a chip. but the easiest way to softmod is with xboxhdm. it lets you build the whole xbox drive right at your computer. you supply an unlocked harddrive (either one from your current xbox with eeprom key or a lockable upgrade drive) it will build from scratch for you.
