Hi, I dune 4 films from avi to dvd with the free vso divxtodvd witch i have found to be the only one the has worked for me, it is slow on my pc doing the convert but the films come out pritty good. I now have the full VSO register version 1.99.16.45 , Can anuone tell me how i set up the setting bit in the general tab, there is the chapters bit and it has ticks in the box's witch say insert chapters every 0.5:00 and for vidio longer than 15.00 and ticks ? do i untick them and what is the chapters bit for as i dont wont the convert stoping and puting chapters in the finished movie, how do i set it up. ? Is the full version faster at converting than the free one and will the audio be any better. Thanks for any help on this as im still to new but am reading as much as i can and having a go and getting there. Cheers.
Hello, I think should answer your question: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/vso_divxtodvd_2_guide_page_3.cfm You should download the latest version 1.99.20b as this is a new piece of shareware it is being updated quite regularly with goodies and bug fixes. Other information: While watching the film the chapters are invisible--the film plays completely through (but as an example chapters mark the video so that you can jump forward through the video at 5min sections of time (or whatever time you indicate) this is generally easier and sometimes better than fastforwarding through a film. The shareware version also generates menus automatically for all the files that you will add to be converted (a title per file). The shareware version is faster than the freeware version of DivxToDVD. As for the sound, it will be the same but to let you know there are the four major things that will definitely be integrated into DivxToDVD it is just a matter of time (just make sure to download the newest version each time you use the application so that you get to benifit from VSO updates bug fixes, and other application ameliorations) -audio synchronization (and better overall audio quality) -Pulldown (way better converstion from PAL to NTSC and vice versa) -support wmv3 -advanced menu creation (editable) Anyway feel free in case you have any more questions
Cheers m8 for getting back to us on the one . i understand about the chapters in it but i tryed a film the other day and it came up saying it would take 5 hr's to convert to vts vob. took the proggy out me pc and whent back to the free VSO and tryed that and it said 2 hr's to convert so im sticking to the freebe m8 thank you as the full one takes to long for me as i only have one pc m8. Cheers for the info M8.
Tryed something that worked perfectly! Got a hold of a naruto episode...Divx file.... Threw it into the handy dandy TMPGEnc program.... went to settings and set the (Rate control mode) to constant quality... then set the motion search to super-high quality... and tada your ready unless you want to change the file type to something else, in which all you change is the pull down in SYSTEM-within the settings. All of my conversions have been 100% quality with no loss... takes some time depending on length.... Oh yeah make shure to try the features in-advanced- like the noise reduction..works great http://www.yks.ne.jp/~hori/
