Ok, i have gone threw quite a bit of dvd now, where I burn them and when i go back and play them it is just the director talking over the movie, which is extremely annoying and frustrating please tell me what I am doing wrong. For instance using anydvd/clonedvd2. Cinderella man. When i go to the audio and subtitle settings Here is what is checked. Audio Lang English (check) french audio properties director comments for visually impaired Audio Channels 2 channels (check) 6 channels Subtitle Lang English Spanish French Under audio streams English Dolby ac-3/2 is checked and again another Engish Dolby ac-3/2 is checked What am i doing wrong please help
I encountered the exactly the same problem. First, I unchecked the Dir. Comment ones, but I think there are two more that are comments.Anyway, the good backup that I have, I checked: AC3 5.1-ch English AC3 2-ch English AC3 2-ch English Two of them are comments, although I DID NOT check the one audio that said Dir. Comment! I only wasted one disc tryng to keep just one channel(and it was a TY disc!). Then I kept the 3 of them, I figured that one must be the good one. Have you tried to change the audio with your DVD remote? When I played my final good backup for the first time, it started with the Director's crap comment, but I changed to the good audio using DVD remote. lemme know if it works! You might want to try one of those already burned if you didn't!
The Dir. Comments is usually one of the 2-Channel selections. I always keep the 6 Channel (5.1)... You can listen the selections independently with Recode2 or Shrink...
I always check [bold]ALL THE AUDIO ENGLISH CHANNELS[/bold]. This way all I would have to do is hit the audio button till I get the right audio channel to listen to! [bold]AC3 5.1-ch English[/bold] is usually the correct main channel of the movie, like both Teflonmyk and cyprurom said!
This is correct. If you don't have a surround sound system, this audio stream will be downmuxed into 2 channel stereo.
I didn't know that Mort..... so if you don't have surround it will come out stereo only? or you'll just hear the 2 channel cause you don't have the 5 speakers?
You should just keep the 5.1 even if you do not have surround it works, and if you do get surround then you are all ready. Who wants those directors comments anyway, why do they put them on a disk and waste space?
@arniebear and another question that we should all ask ourselves is: [bold]who is that masked man, anyway?![/bold]
