Hi, I just copied a dvd to a location, but now I don't know how to copy it. I can't find "burn" anywhere on the shrink program.

In shrink you can auto burn with Nero, DVD Decrypter and one other (can't remember the name). Shrink doesn't have a burn engine so it can only burn if you have one of the above programs installed.
There's no burn button per say - there's a back up button that you click and then pick your target device.
Which burning software do you have?

Hi, I have Nero Start Smart. I back uped a dvd and now I don't know how to burn it. The program (Nero) didn't automatically pop up, so I am confused.

Did you convert the files to ISO? If you haven't, open up Nero Burning Rom. Download this help file and go to page 64. ftp://ftp6.nero.com/user_guides/nero7/burningrom7/NeroBurningRom_ug_eng.pdf

If I download Nero 7, it says that I have to uninstall all other nero programs. I have nero startsmart and I don't really want to uninstall it. Can't I use nero startsmart to copy dvd?

Nero won't automatically pop up - shrink just uses nero burning rom to do the burning. Usually by default the option to burn with nero is checked. But to make sure just go to edit>preferences>file i/o tab. If not checked then check this box 'enable burning w/ Nero'
Once you click 'backup' in shrink select your drive:

Which version of 6 are you using?

Doesn't Nero Smart Start include Nero Burning Rom? I have Nero 7 and it includes Nero Smart Start.

If the file is saved to you hard drive you can use burning rom or express to burn.

Glad to hear your got one burned!!
Nero can burn either an iso or the video_ts that should play in your dvd player.
If your using Shrink you should be able to pick your drive making it almost like a 1 click process.
Here's a neat little guide on how to use nero burning rom:

Post back if you have any questions.
    Happy burning!

Binkie and everyone appear to have taken good care of you. I'll just mention Startsmart is merely the easy open portal for Nero on the desktop. It only contains the programs from the release the user has. OEM which is a limited version with only some of the Nero apps up to the Ultra release with all the bells and whistles. Both Nero 6 and Nero 7 have the StartSmart window. As I mentioned, the apps in the StartSmart window depend on the release you have. So, if you want to try out the Nero 7, you won't be losing anything, just upgrading.

Thanks for the info, but since I have nero 6, I will have to uninstall it to get a trial version of 7. How long will the trial last? Is it worth it to delete #6?

That depends. The future support for Nero 6 is a bit suspect. Nero 7 has more and the DL burning is supposed to be better with 7. Nero 7 has more included in the Ultra. If you're happy with your 6 and it does all you want, then no need to upgrade. Just have the Nero 6 updated to version 6.6.0.18. The trial used to be good for 30 days with no limit on the number of trials a person could use. I'm not sure what the current policy is.

Hi, I decided to download Nero #7, and told me that I needed to uninstall Nero 6. The message said it will delete it for me. Everytime I try to install Nero 7, it says that I need to uninstall Nero 6. I don't see Nero 6 anywhere on my computer, but it will not install Nero 7. Does anyone know what I should do?? Thanks in advance!

Run the general clean tool. If you had InCD installed also then run that clean tool also.

Binkies right. It won't hurt to run all the Clean Tools. Run the InCD last just in case. Run a registry cleaner if you have one before doing the install of Nero 7.

Except with apps that suggest load over, i.e. AnyDVD, I remove apps from the Control Panel instead of letting an app do it for me. I suggest rebooting after an app deletion and/or installation.

Hello im a newbie, and been having trouble burning with CloneDVD2.Heres the deal,i purchased DVDCloner3,and isnt very good.I've already spent the $59.00 so i wasnt really eager on buying another software. My friend gave my His Anydvd,CloneDVD2(crack version).Every thing worked Fine untill burning the disc.It had ERROR BAD MEDIA,and i tried everything.SO i found a Forum on cracked versions suggesting that was the problem. So i unistalled both programs,Deleted all files,Purchased Anydvd and CloneDVD2 from slysoft. But the same Error Bad Media still comes up about 1% writing the Disc.

I have a brand new Dell.
    Lite-ON DVDRW SOHW-1693S (updated firmware)
    ANYDVD+CLONEDVD2
    Nero 7 ultra

    I've used 3 Diff. media types.Verbatim 4.7GB 16x.
    Staple DVD-R 4.7GB 16x
    Memorex DVD-R 4.7GB 8x

P.s PLEASE someone help me,went though all this trouble to buy slysoft software and still same problem,I know the DVD Burner is fine because DVDCLONER3 works with it,and MY nero works fine with it,i would just use nero, but i paid for it know, and i would prefer cloneDVD2.

    Thanks
