LAPTOP COMPUTER FILE MISSING NEED HELP ASAP PLZ!

    hey when i turn on my latop, it has the screen that says dell the model and blah blah..then it goes balck and come up saying..."Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
    <Windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe.
    Please re-install a copy of the above file.



    Can any1 tel me where i can get this file...PLZ HELP!!!!

    Wrong forum......But i believe that is the boot screen...Put in your windows disk and use the repair feature

    Remeber you didnt hear this from me COUGH*download windows from bittorent*COUGH. PLus how the hell did it end up in the xbox 360 forums?

    lol Good point. Use a friends PC. That wil work fine. Hope you know what bittorent is though. Although I think everyone knows what it is except some of my law abiding freinds.

    No if it came with your laptop that is totally legal and would be the best thing thing to do. Ok bye for tonight.

    thread teleported out of the Xbox 360 forum (what's that all about). also i see references to downloading Windows. let'd not have any more of that kind of stuff thanks..
    i've also closed the multipost that's in the Linux discussion forum (what's that all about)

    edit- closing this one as have found another multipost here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/346330 (and that's also in the wrong forum). gadzooks...
