I have just installed 2.3 soldreless chip but have not put in my new hard drive yet. My question is do I need to connect my x-box to my computer or is there a disk that can simply put in my x-box? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
To flash your chip, take all your clothes off, wear a plastic raincoat, put the chip in front of you, then very quickly, undo your raincoat and wiggle......... ahem lol er seriously if it is the xecuter 2.3 lite, it will have a cromwell bos on, meaning you can flash it from a cdrw/dvd (or a cdr if you have a samsung drive) get a hold of x2bm (xecuter 2 bios manager) follow the instructions an example of how to do it can be found here http://www.copying-xbox-games.com/tutorials.php?tutorialid=00000029 you can get the bios you need using mirc on efnet servers, (xbins) Id recommend the 4981 or 4983 x2 bios the instructions say to make it 1024, but you can make it 512k (if anything goes wrong you still have 512k left with the cromwell)
