well guys my hard drive is dying. sometimes it works sometimes in does not. called microsoft and they told me it will cost me 100 plus shipping which is outrages. anyhow think of just buying a new harddrive but i think you need a mod chip for this. but i also heard you need evolution x which i dont have and am not able to find yet! i do have something called slayer evox auto installer. well i think its the actual thing. also i still plan to but another xbox i still want to play live after all halo 2 is around the corner. it just hurts me to throw away my first one. also my xbox boots up automaticly to live so if i put a mod chip wont microsoft know there is a mod chip on it? i dont want to get kicked out
chip your xbox, put in a big drive or, get a retail (unlocked) drive off ebay for around $15 or so. DONT get a locked drive, the thing is you need to lock a drive with your xbox, not another one, so if you get a drive thats already locked, yer kinda screwed. In general (although there is an alternative way) a drive needs to be locked to go online. Most modchips eg xecuter2 have a disable switch for online users. In other words, when you disable, all you get is your normal microsoft dash. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Ignorance isn't bliss.....It's just costly![/small]
what mod chip to you recommend! i have the slayer evox software downloaded already. it does need to be solderless. also what site is trustworthy. and how exactly do you flash the bios as soon its installed.
