I've got a few Xvid avi's which have 2 audio tracks, which are causing me problems (see my "multiple audio streams" posting in Playback Problems for details). I'm thinking that the best solution might be to remove one of the streams. I'm a newbie to encoding so: Is this possible? What tools do I need? Am I barking up the wrong tree completely here? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
Try VirtualDubMod: http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net/ What you want to do is entirely possible, though I've never heard of an avi with more than one audio track. VirtualDubMod is extremely useful for multiple stream editing, though. Give it a slam. Don't forget to set the Video to [bold]Direct Stream Copy[/bold], though, or you'll end up with a huge ass uncompressed file.
