hi, i had a problem last night whereby BOTH my pioneer 116 dvd-rom and my sony DRU510A dvd writer couldnt read any cds. I would put the cd in and the drives would act as though there was no cd present. I could brun ok and read dvds ok. I came here and noticed a lot of people have had similar problems, some not exactly the same as mine but since ive figured it out ill post. Basically, i just removed VCDeasy, a piece of software lol. I realised my problems started after i had installed this, so if you are having problems either remove VCDeasy or try and think of what youve installed recently that could be causing conflicts.
