Simple question . When I want to adjust my
bitrate in the DIVX codec settings I cannot
select the MPEG4 tools (they are shaded).
How can i select them? And is there a big
difference in the AVI qualty if I don't?

You must have the adware free Divx502Bundle, the codec doesn't have the Pro features like quarter pixel etc.

You either have to download the DivXPro502GAINBundle (complete with spyware -er- adware) to get the Pro Codec for free, or bite the bullet and pay for the pro version.

If you use CTL+ALT+DELETE you can disable the adware (when not encoding DivX or using the player) by ending the process GMT.exe, but you'll have to execute it again before you watch or encode DivX movies. Or you could always reboot, which will automatically restart the GAIN adware since it's programmed to load with windows - now isn't that convenient?

No problem, by the way you should be able to find a DivXPro502Bundle and keygen zip on KaZaA or some other Peer2Peer and save the hassle of installing the adware version.
