My new machine has DVDx Copy Platinum 4.03. I would like to back up some movies, but run into the css protection problem. Can someone please explain the process to me like I'm 5 years old; that way, maybe, I'll have a shot at actually accomplishing my task.
    Thanks,
    Rich

Download dvd decypter from this forum to decrypt your dvd's then I think you can use platinum to back up the dvd's you bought.

    sonny196,
Welcome . Now that being said sometimes Plat. need a good kick in the behind to get it going. Start playing the movie on your computer for 3 minutes and after the 3 minutes are up start Plat while the movie is playing. After Plat starts reading the disk turn off the program that was playing the movie.
