Did you want to say that you want to play divx movies on a stand-alone dvd-player(the one you hook up to you TV) ?
yes mate, ive got a pioneer dcs313 home cinema syatem, and it doesnt play divx and was wondering if there was any way of converting it
You can't convert a dvd-player that doesn't play divx into one that does. Unless you are the manufacturer ! I had the same problem. A great Panasonic 5.1 home theater system that does not play divx. So what I did I went and bought a Philips DVP642 player that plays almost all the video files I have on my computer. It plays divx, xvid, wmv, asf, all sorts of avi files plus mp3, jpg etc. It's great and I got it from CompUsa for only 69 bucks (+ tax, I live in California). I'm very satisfied of it ! I just burn like 6-7 divx, xvid, mpeg etc files on a DVD+RW and then play all those movies on my Philips so I can see them on my big screen TV. Good luck !
