CD-RW disc recognition problems

When I burn to CD-R my laptop will recognise OK. When burning software on CD-RW my Toshiba Satellite (Win 98SE) simply won't recognise the disc is in the player. Placing CD-RW back in pc (P1 Win 98SE, 48MB RAM, NERO 5) everything works fine. Prior to re-formatting/re-partitioning Toshiba it recognised CD-RW's. Must have lost something along the way !Are there any downloads to help (eg Adaptec progs for CD-RW's ?)

If you are using a packet writing software (DirectCD, InCD, etc), you must have a UDF reader software or the packet writing software itself installed on the Toshiba.
