Hi all, i wish to mod my xbox solely for playing dvd-r backups. Not particularly interested in any other features that some chips can do. I do not or intend to play on LIVE so that is not an issue. I have been told of a simple 1 wire solder chip for my needs, surprise surprise they could not tell me where to get one? My soldering ability is very poor and would like to avoid it like the plague. Also the process of flashing memory also does not appeal but it appears that is a necessity, unless the cromwell bios allows the Xbox to play backups. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
