New video camera- which one?

    I am a young film maker. I am going to buy a new 3 chip camera, and I am trying to decide between two cameras. My main features that I want for my camera are:

    -exposure adjustment
    -WB adjustment
    -audio levels
    -3 chip
    -MiniDV
    -manual focus

    I am trying to decide between the Sony DCR-HC1000, a newer more expensive camera, and the Sony DCR-TRV950, and older, cheaper camera. Thanks for your help.
