    Hi All.
i just got back from a month trip in the US, with 4 Dv tapes fill with my first video shooting job.
when i started editting the video i have noticed that there is a lot of ambient noise, mostly wind.

is it beacuse i used the build-in mic?
is using an external mic will help?
if so where can i get an external mic? , can i use any external mic or only sony mic?

    Thanks,
    Amir

Most camcorders do pick up wind noise, the mic being so close to the mechanism. If you have the socket for it, an external mic will certainly help, I think any good make will suffice, but maybe best to stick with Sony. I am no expert, but hope this helps.
