    Overclock ?? --

The drive test show that this drive is limited to the speed of the media you use !! The only hacked firmware available is one that makes it Region Free !

The lab Test on this drive points out that it is very limited as to the media it will perform with -- If you have bought this drive, it may well be worth it for you to read that appreciation done in a Lab !

    Take a look at :-

    Hi dekka,

I'm not sure what you're refering to when you say "over-clocked."

Your burner will do whatever the firmware will tell it to do.

FYI, An older, X4 Pioneer 106 can use "Hacked" firmware to burn 8X.
My Pionee0r 107 can use a "Hacked" firmware to burn 4X media at 8X media at 8X.

We expect that at some point there will be "Hacked " firmware to increase the burn speed of the DL burners but it may be awhile.

If that covers what you were asking about there you go - -

The firmware can also change the capabilities of your drive, ie I falsh my sony dwu18a @ liteon SOHW-832s and now i can burn DL DVD.
