This evening i received a call from a software engineer from napier university, this lad has been looking at this problem for over 4 weeks since the release of the 260 file. he found that there was a integral part missing which was the sections to accomodate all boxes this script runs for abot 100k bytes however this was missing so only accomodated for the larger processor speeds, thus when it runs the scripts comes to a dead end and the box fails!! seemingly he mention there was a loop hole it ran for so long, at the faster speed as was being overclocked thus again would only last so long before the asep chip got full and sent the flash to fail !!! , The 257 and 258 files are fine only difference is the decryption methos values have been extended. He then went on to the problems with the 300 file which is a exact replica of the 260 file, however it has the fscript telling all the boxes to run at thir speeds, however there is a small flaw in compatability seemingly on the flash dump value. He said that if the files were not dumped before the 300 is installed the asep chip would not store the script to run the compatability check thus causing th eflash to fail.!! just like the 260 bin. he has also looked at the the 300 bin file and said there was 4-5 errors, he said that the freezing on this file was contributed to missing script which looks like it was accidentally missed out from the previous files of 257 and 258. the epg could also be fixed as the write back process on the box could be set alot faster but for some reason it was set to 4seconds Huh He also ranted on about alot of missing lines and lines to which had no meaning and if the process was ran on the box would again contribute to flash fail. The one he did mention was pressing the epg !! putting th ebox on standby. I know this lad is a geek and i kind of got his drift. he said dont run this software as it requires fixing!!! he also said this was homemade not done by any factory!!! ? what he said he would do is open the 257 and incorporate the latest decryption values and add them to the 257. Ive got 2 boxes, 1 of which is a clone. Flashed em both with 300e last wed/thurs, and both have been working fine apart from the occasional freezing. Hopefully there will be a fix for the freezing issue..
