I'm in the midst of building my own PVR, Hometheatre PC. I just recently subscribed to comcast HDTV, which is connected to my TV via component cables, the big thick white ones. I forget the exact labels on them, but it's not the standard RCA ones.

Anyways, my question. Does a PCI card exist out there that would allow me to record via component cables? Or am I stuck using a Haupage card and just recording via Coax?

Any suggestions would be very grateful.

it's about $5 more with comcast for 7 more channels or so depending on your location. Problem is only 2 of those channels are full time HD. Most of the shows on abc, nbc, cbs, and espn, are still SD.

If your card has DVI out and your tv doesn't or like mine which is a Sony and doesn't work with pc's, you can get a DVI to Component adapter.
