I've searched quite a few places and come up with a complete blank. For some reason when I try to import an xvid encoded avi into adobe premiere pro it just doesn't work. The importing asset box pops up, and I can cancel it and carry in, but it doesn't get anywhere. I even tried leaving it on overnight doing that in case it was just being slow but that didn't help. I have Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and I'm using XviD-24062003-1 _ALPHA_ Release thanks in advance for any suggestions...
Howdy, I've been having the same problem....when trying to import *CERTAIN* xvid files, it just says "Importing..." with no progress. However this does not apply to all files. I was able to get the offending files to import by stripping out the audio track. I opened in VirtualDub, set video to Direct Stream Copy and audio to No Audio and saved, then it imported. Good luck.
