I purchased this unit from Walmart as well after going through two (2) GoVideo units that would not recogonize my two different name brands of DVD+R disks. I have successfully recorded onto DVD+RW and Onto DVD+R; however, for some reason, when I record onto a Blank DVD+R disk, and then go to play it, I get disk error. And yet anything I record AFTER that initial recording works fine. I thought maybe I had to format the DVD+R first, but that is not the case. I am going to try and call Sanyo tomorrow (9/29/04) and see if they have an answer.
Well I contacted Sanyo, they say I have a very uniquie problem they have never heard of. Said they would send me a "firmware" upgrade that might help, otherwise advised me to return the unit to Walmart. Geesh, awaiting the disk and will post if it helped or not.
